Software Engineering Internship

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our Engineering team in Lisbon through an IEFP internship programme.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to get their first professional experience in Software Engineering, putting academic knowledge into practice while learning from experienced engineers and contributing to real projects.

You'll gradually get involved in Java development, software development and maintenance, AI-related initiatives, testing, requirements analysis, documentation, and team activities, with the support and guidance of our Engineering team.

We're particularly interested in candidates who are curious about modern software development practices and have already experimented with AI-assisted development tools, whether in academic projects, personal projects, or other hands-on work.



PROJECT & CONTEXT

Join the Engineering team and learn how software projects are developed in a real professional environment:

• Support requirements analysis and understand project needs
• Contribute to the development of small features and application maintenance, particularly using Java
• Support the development and integration of AI-related solutions and features
• Participate in testing and help identify and fix issues
• Support technical and functional documentation
• Take part in team meetings and knowledge-sharing activities
• Gradually develop your technical skills, autonomy, and understanding of software development and AI best practices

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Academic knowledge of Java, programming, software development, databases, algorithms, and software development methodologies
• Academic or practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and related technologies
• Strong interest in Technology, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence
• Good analytical and organisational skills
• Motivation to develop technical skills and gain practical experience
