Senior Contentful Architect (Headless CMS) - Remote Portugal

You'll leverage your deep expertise in Contentful architecture to build scalable, high-performance content platforms that power modern digital experiences. This role offers you the opportunity to architect complex implementations, drive advanced content modeling strategies, and integrate CMS solutions with experimentation platforms and design systems in a cutting-edge technical environment.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll architect and implement advanced Contentful solutions with focus on single-space architectures or multi-space consolidation projects. The role involves designing sophisticated content models, implementing live preview capabilities, and establishing comprehensive environment strategies for development, staging, and production workflows. You'll integrate Contentful with design systems and experimentation platforms, enabling personalized content experiences at scale. Working with modern frontend architectures, particularly MicroFrontend patterns, you'll ensure seamless content delivery and optimal developer experience. You'll design and execute large-scale content and model migrations using the Management API and custom scripting, implement robust content synchronization strategies across environments, and establish headless CMS patterns and best practices that enable teams to leverage Contentful's full potential while maintaining scalability and performance.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• Contentful architecture expertise: Strong experience architecting Contentful solutions (single-space or consolidation experience preferred)
• Advanced content modeling: Deep expertise in designing scalable, maintainable, and flexible content models
• Live preview and environments: Experience implementing live preview functionality and comprehensive environment strategies
• Design system integration: Proven ability integrating Contentful with design systems and component libraries
• Experimentation platforms: Experience connecting CMS with experimentation and personalization platforms
• Headless CMS mastery: Strong understanding of headless CMS patterns, architectures, and best practices
• Frontend architecture knowledge: Familiarity with modern frontend architectures, specifically MicroFrontend Architecture
• Content synchronization: Experience implementing robust content synchronization strategies across multiple environments
• Large-scale migrations: Proven track record designing and executing content and model migrations using Management API and custom scripting
• Language requirement: Fluent English (mandatory)

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Experience with additional headless CMS platforms (Sanity, Strapi, Contentstack)
• Knowledge of GraphQL and REST API optimization for content delivery
• CDN strategies and content delivery network optimization
• Multi-brand or multi-region content architecture experience
• Content governance and workflow automation implementation
• SEO best practices in headless CMS contexts
• JavaScript/TypeScript for custom Contentful extensions and apps
