PROJECT & CONTEXT

As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring software quality across multiple country instances of the platform. You'll work closely with development teams to detect bugs early in the software development lifecycle, implementing and continuously extending automated test coverage for a wide range of testing scenarios.

You'll collaborate with country distribution and core domain squads to ensure quality goals are consistently achieved, while proposing and driving process improvements as part of the company's continuous improvement strategy. Your responsibilities span mastering the tools and components needed for your tasks, following established development best practices, and producing documentation and guidelines that support a "quality as everyone's responsibility" culture.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

  • Solid experience with automated testing
  • Knowledge of at least one software development language
  • Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, or similar testing technologies
  • Experience building automated test suites for build/regression testing
  • Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Bamboo, or similar
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive on a daily basis
  • Genuine passion for software quality and testing automation
  • Curiosity about new technologies and tools, with willingness to take on new challenges
  • Active participation in decision-making, with a genuine interest in the insurtech/fintech space
  • English: B2+ (Upper Intermediate minimum), required for daily international team communication
  • Availability to work Portugal timezone regardless of physical location

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

  • Experience building Load/Stress tests using tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, or Apache Benchmark
  • Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environment
  • Experience building tests in the context of microservices or SOA architecture
  • Experience testing interfaces and APIs using SOAP-UI, Rest-Assured, or similar tools



    Compensation: €2,000 – €2,300/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
