About the job Business Manager

Please note that this is a remote position but it requires the candidate to be based in Portugal.

What you'll actually be doing:

You're the bridge between our recruitment team and clients. When our recruiters find candidates, you validate them, build the business case, and present them to clients in a way that closes deals.

Your day-to-day:

  • Analyzing candidate profiles suggested by our talent team - do they really fit?
  • Validating technical skills and commercial viability of candidates
  • Building compelling candidate presentations and commercial proposals for clients
  • Managing the full client relationship from initial need to contract signature
  • Creating financial proposals and understanding margin calculations
  • Following up with clients post-presentation and managing the closing process
  • Analyzing win/loss rates and optimizing our approach
  • Supporting consultant onboarding and managing ongoing client relationships
  • Making data-driven decisions about which candidates to present and how to position them

You work between: Our internal recruiters (who find the candidates) and clients (who hire them), making sure the business side flows smoothly while candidates move through the process.


What we're looking for in you:

Essential:

  • Degree in Management, Business, Economics, Finance or similar areas
  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial, business development, or client-facing roles
  • Strong Excel skills (candidate analysis, financial modeling, performance tracking)
  • Fluent English (international client base)

More important than anything:

  • You can quickly assess if a candidate is commercially viable for a specific client
  • You understand that every candidate presentation has financial implications
  • You can build compelling stories around technical profiles for non-technical clients
  • You think strategically about pricing, positioning, and deal closing
  • You can manage multiple candidate processes while maintaining quality
  • You're comfortable making decisions about which candidates to push forward
  • You can spot patterns in client feedback and optimize accordingly
