Summary: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing financial records, preparing accurate financial statements, conducting audits, and providing financial analysis to support informed decision-making. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations while contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Management:
- Maintain and organize financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Generate financial reports for management review and analysis.
- Audit Oversight:
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and support during audit processes.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Offer insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Compliance and Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax and sales tax.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with various departments to create financial plans.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
- Team Supervision:
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Financial Systems and Tools:
- Utilize accounting software and tools proficiently.
- Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification preferred).
- Proven experience as an accountant, with at least [X] years in a senior role.
