They're looking for a Technical Team Lead (with the potential to become CTO) with a solid technical background to join their team and push the boundaries of what's possible.

Your Responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of the software development and all technical aspects of the product development process.
• Participate in product development – architecture, design and hands-on software design and engineering.
• Create an internal development team by understanding the product direction and roadmap and defining the optimal team setup to execute its vision.
• Set the foundation of processes (agile driven), tooling and infrastructure (cloud mainly) required to establish the software development organisation. Oversee and execute this setup.
• Technical delivery management Ensures that the team product deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality with strong team velocity and output.
• Participate in product definition providing technical expertise and guidance to the product manager and other stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement: always search for ways to improve the existing setup (team, process, technology) to
• Enhance the scalability of the product and organization and adapt to changed market conditions.
• Reporting to the CEO/COO and leading all (future) technical roles.

• Product delivery – execute the product roadmap (provided strong executive support).
• Define a clear vision for what the team set up and work environment (process) should look like.
• Team establishment – recruitment (shared responsibility), onboarding, day-to-day management and support.
• Improvements – able to improve existing technology and code quality based on product vision and scope.

Your Profile

• Senior/Lead Fullstack Software Engineer with substantial experience (5+ years) and responsibilities beyond coding (you have led a team, an initiative or a project - formally or informally).
• Engineering Team Lead/Manager.
• Technical Lead or Startup CTO.
• Advanced written and spoken English

Technology Stack

• Backend: PHP Laravel – must have the knowledge and experience.
• Frontend: VUE js – must have the knowledge, experience with other front end frameworks is ok.
• Database: MS SQL Server – nice to have, but experience with relational databases is required.
• Azure B2C – user authentication - nice to have. Any cloud experience will be an advantage (IaaS).
• MongoDB – experience with other NoSQL databases is an advantage.

• Proactive personality – much like within a startup (although within an established organisation), the candidate will have to be independent, lead and execute based on vision and high-level plans and break barriers.
• Hands-on – before the team is set, this role should be responsible for all current developments.
• Leadership - to inspire others, set processes and controls, lead by example and provide hands-on support to team members.
• Adaptability – as this is an evolving product and business niche, the Technical Lead will need to adapt the organisation under their leadership to changed market conditions.
• Self-confidence – to make and apply the right decisions
