KNITWEAR QUALITY CONTROLLER

Job DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a trustable, independent and technical candidate who will be able to conduct in line and final quality control (from development to bulk production). You will report to the merchandisers and the General manager and your main responsibilities will include:

• To ensure that bulk production is done according to the quality standards set by our customers and in a timely manner. You will work in close cooperation with our merchandisers who are in direct contact with our customers and who will guide you in what the customers is expecting as quality standards;
• To conduct in line and final inspection during bulk production at our suppliers all around Bulgaria (from the start of the knitting to final packing);
• To advise on adjustments and potential difficulties to improve the quality of garments in production;
• To advise on the respect of production lead time according to information provided by merchandisers and to the production status reported from each factory every week;
• To advise on knitting machine capabilities and yarn/trims/stitches technical complexity;
• To oversee in-process quality controls and resolve quality issues if needed;
• To manage yarn consumption calculation and to work with our suppliers to make sure this is respected. To control the yarn consumption is matching what was advised by the knitter from the beginning;
• To manage inspections planning and to offer 100% quality control as much as possible to make sure our suppliers respect the quality standards of our customers.

The ideal candidate:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in fully-fashioned knitwear manufacturing and quality control is ideal, especially for high-end fashion brands;
• Excellent technical knowledge of knitwear (yarns, machines, knitting, linking, washing, ironing and quality issues);
• Problem-solver, creative, hands-on, eye for detail and striving for excellence in quality;
• Flexible to travel in the country (Pleven, Dospat, Petrich, Sofia, ) by car (we provide a car for travelling to remote factories);
• Fluent in Bulgarian. A knowledge of English is an asset.

WE OFFER:

• Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.;
• Salary BGN 1200-1800 net;
• Provided phone and car;
