Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in financial planning, analysis, and decision support for the organization. You will be responsible for providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support the company's financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Conduct variance analysis between actuals and budget/forecasts, providing insights on financial performance.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track financial and operational metrics.
- Strategic Support:
- Collaborate with business units to understand financial impacts of operational decisions.
- Provide financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, and new business opportunities.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze complex financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance financial performance.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis.
- Develop and maintain robust financial systems and procedures.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to other company locations or client sites.
- May require working extended hours during peak financial periods (e.g., month-end, quarter-end, year-end).
