Job Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Manager of Learning & Development to lead our L&D team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and career growth. You will play a critical role in driving a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning & Development Strategy:
- Develop and implement a strategic learning and development plan aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Assess current and future skills needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals, and consultation with managers.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programs, making improvements as needed.
- Program Design and Implementation:
- Design and deliver a variety of learning solutions, including leadership development, technical training, soft skills development, and compliance training.
- Utilize a blend of learning methodologies, including e-learning, workshops, webinars, and on-the-job training.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Talent Development:
- Identify and nurture high-potential employees through targeted development programs.
- Develop and manage succession planning and career development initiatives.
- Implement mentoring and coaching programs to support employee growth.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the L&D team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of L&D initiatives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Monitor expenses and report on budget utilization and ROI for learning programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, HR partners, and department managers.
- Act as a trusted advisor on all matters related to learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote L&D initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development.
- Implement innovative solutions to continuously improve the effectiveness of learning programs.
- Gather and analyze feedback to assess program impact and make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering successful learning programs.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP).
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to other company locations or events.
- May require working extended hours during peak periods or for special projects.
