Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
Reports To: Store Manager

Job Overview:

Local business is  looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join their team. As the first and last point of contact for customers, you'll provide excellent customer service, operate the cash register, and assist with store operations. If you enjoy working with people and have a passion for helping customers, we'd love to have you on our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:

    • Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly checkout experience.

    • Answer customer questions and direct them to appropriate store departments.

    • Assist with returns, exchanges, and resolving customer concerns.

  • Cash Handling & Transactions:

    • Accurately process sales, returns, and exchanges using a point-of-sale (POS) system.

    • Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods securely.

    • Maintain a balanced cash drawer and follow proper cash-handling procedures.

  • Store Support:

    • Keep the front-end area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

    • Assist with stocking, merchandising, and light store maintenance as needed.

    • Follow loss prevention policies and maintain awareness of potential security risks.

Qualifications:

  • Previous retail or cashier experience.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.

  • Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
