Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Process Control Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems, process engineering, and industrial automation. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing control systems to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability of industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control Systems Design and Implementation:

    • Design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial processes.
    • Develop and configure PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
    • Create and maintain process control documentation, including P&IDs and control narratives.
  • Process Optimization:

    • Analyze and optimize existing industrial processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies.
    • Implement advanced process control (APC) techniques.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

    • Diagnose and resolve control system issues and process deviations.
    • Perform regular maintenance and updates to control systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to develop preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Project Management:

    • Lead and manage control system projects from concept to completion.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and IT.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.
  • Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure all control systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
    • Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments.
    • Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Training and Support:

    • Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel.
    • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions.
    • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process control engineering or a related field.
    • Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, DCS, and HMI programming.
    • Proven experience in process optimization and control system troubleshooting.
  • Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in control system software and simulation tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certifications (Preferred):

    • Certified Automation Professional (CAP).
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with frequent visits to industrial sites.
  • May require occasional travel to other company locations or client sites.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and safety requirements.
