Machine Operator
Job Description:
Job Summary:
12 hour shifts 6-6 6 days a week mandatory OT
first and 2nd shift available
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting tissue converting machines to ensure efficient production of paper products.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate tissue converting machines such as rewinders, embossers, slitters, and packaging lines
Monitor production output and adjust settings as needed to meet quality and efficiency standards
Inspect finished products for quality defects and ensure packaging meets specifications
Perform basic troubleshooting and machine adjustments to reduce downtime
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and sanitation standards
Complete production and maintenance logs accurately
Work closely with supervisors, maintenance, and quality control teams
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience as a machine operator, preferably in paper, packaging, or manufacturing
Ability to read and interpret work orders and safety guidelines
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends if needed
Preferred:
Experience with tissue converting equipment
Forklift certification
