Job Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Oversee and manage a team of warehouse associates, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Schedule and assign tasks to ensure productivity and operational goals are met.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Ensure accurate receiving, storage, and shipping of goods.
- Implement and enforce company procedures for inventory control and order fulfillment.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce compliance with workplace safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training and inspections to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Inventory and Equipment Management:
- Oversee inventory accuracy and conduct regular audits.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Collaborate with other departments to support production and supply chain needs.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in processes and recommend improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
- Implement warehouse best practices to maintain high-quality operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelors degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong understanding of logistics, shipping, and receiving procedures.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
