Job Overview

The Remote IT Support Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving IT-related issues while providing exceptional technical support to employees. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent communication skills who thrives in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote IT support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures, connectivity problems, and application errors.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software and hardware.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings in company systems.
  • Document issues, solutions, and best practices to improve IT processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize system performance and support business operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in IT support, technical assistance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, remote desktop tools, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting network configurations, firewalls, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document technical procedures.
  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, or similar) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, logistics, or e-commerce industries.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems (Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and ITIL processes.
