Job Summary:

Supply Chain Planning Manager will be responsible for managing supply across the planning horizon and assuming responsibility for planning all elements in material flow including production, raw materials, outplants, site logistics, contract manufacturing as well as managing exceptions on a real time basis.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for managing production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, or safety. This role requires customer focus, strong decision-making capabilities, agility, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage supply across multiple functions & geographies. It will also be responsible for the performance of the client's network of supply points.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Determine appropriate equipment and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.

Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, controlling inventory, warehousing, or receiving.

Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.

Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.

Implement new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency or performance.

Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.

Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.

Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service

Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders

Collaborating with other team members to develop plans for transporting goods or people from one location to another

Developing plans for storage facilities such as warehouses or storage yards that can be used by other departments in the company

Coordinating shipping schedules and routes with transportation companies to ensure that goods arrive on time and without damage

Managing inventory and supervising staff members who handle inventory control, including ordering new inventory when necessary

Planning and coordinating the movement of materials and products within an organization using advanced computer systems

Ensuring that shipping containers are properly labeled with addresses, contents, weights, etc.

Coordinating with customs officials at airports or seaports to ensure that incoming or outgoing shipments meet all legal requirements for entry into the country or export of goods

Training staff members on proper shipping techniques and procedures, as well as safety procedures regarding hazardous materials

Developing and implementing effective tracking systems to monitor the progress of shipments in real time

Contact the supplier and shipping providers to know the necessary documents for the shipping and follow up issue this document

Managing daily, monthly and quarterly reports

Manage and plan STORAGE of stock in all WH by categories and apply FIFO process in all WH.

Monitor and manage productions and purchase plans based on sales trends.

Education and Competency:

Prefer bachelors degree in logistics, business or a related field.

Courses in business, economics, accounting, finance, statistics and computer science can be useful for logistics officers.

Very good knowledge is saber process is a must

Previous Logistics and Shipping experience is required min 4 Years.
