Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our care home team. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards and providing a welcoming atmosphere for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning of residents’ rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and hallways.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock necessary supplies.
- Ensure high hygiene standards are maintained in compliance with infection control policies.
- Handle laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing.
- Dispose of waste and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
- Provide friendly and respectful interaction with residents, maintaining a caring and professional attitude.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a care home, healthcare, or hospitality setting (preferred but not required).
- Understanding of infection control and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently while being a team player.
- Good communication skills and a compassionate approach towards elderly residents.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
