Mandarin Speaker - Accounting and Finance Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting and Finance Specialist with Mandarin language proficiency to support regional finance operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient execution of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between local and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, supporting cross-border financial coordination and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial closing
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment monitoring
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Coordinate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, including regional teams and external partners
  • Translate financial documents and communications (Mandarin ↔ English) as needed
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal controls
  • Assist in audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor queries
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles (shared services or multinational environment is an advantage)
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken) is required
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
