Job Description:
The Strategic Brand and Marketing Head is responsible for leading the company's overall marketing strategy, brand management, and customer engagement initiatives to drive business growth, strengthen market presence, and enhance brand visibility.
The role oversees strategic and executional marketing activities across digital marketing, traditional advertising, market research, events and activations, trade marketing, and brand communications.
This position is ideal for candidates who have relevant industry exposure or experience handling tangible/consumer products such as FMCG, retail, automotive, electronics, appliances, construction materials, consumer durables, or similar industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing & Brand Management
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and growth targets
  • Lead annual marketing planning, budgeting, and campaign calendar development
  • Establish and strengthen brand positioning, messaging, and overall market presence
  • Ensure consistency of brand identity across all marketing platforms and communication channels
  • Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and market gaps
  • Drive initiatives that enhance customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty
  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness and marketing ROI, and recommend improvements based on data and insights
  • Present marketing plans, campaign performance, and strategic recommendations to senior management
Market Research & Consumer Insights
  • Lead market research initiatives to better understand customer needs, buying behaviors, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Analyze consumer insights and market data to support strategic decision-making and product positioning
  • Identify target market segments and recommend strategies to improve market penetration
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and assess emerging market opportunities
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable marketing and commercial initiatives
Digital Marketing & Brand Visibility
  • Oversee digital marketing strategies including social media, online advertising, content marketing, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and website management
  • Develop campaigns to improve online visibility, customer engagement, and lead generation
  • Lead the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, creative partners, media suppliers, and digital vendors
  • Ensure effective use of marketing tools, analytics, and performance tracking systems
  • Monitor and optimize digital campaign performance, audience engagement, and conversion metrics
Events, Activations & Experiential Marketing
  • Lead the planning and execution of corporate events, trade shows, exhibitions, product launches, dealer events, customer activations, and experiential marketing initiatives
  • Develop promotional activities that strengthen brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Oversee on-ground activations and partnership initiatives to maximize market visibility
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful execution of events and campaigns
  • Evaluate event performance, attendee engagement, and business impact
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, logistics, and vendor relationships
Trade Marketing & Commercial Support
  • Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to develop trade marketing programs and customer-focused campaigns
  • Support channel marketing initiatives that drive product visibility and sales performance
  • Develop promotional materials, merchandising strategies, and dealer/customer engagement programs
  • Ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and commercial objectives
  • Assist in launching new products and market expansion initiatives
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team to ensure high performance and continuous growth
  • Foster collaboration across Sales, Operations, Product, and Executive teams
  • Manage external marketing agencies, creative partners, media suppliers, and event organizers
  • Establish marketing KPIs and monitor team and campaign performance
  • Promote a culture of innovation, creativity, accountability, and customer-centricity within the marketing function
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
  • At least 10–15 years of progressive marketing experience, with significant exposure in leadership roles
  • Preferably with relevant industry exposure or experience handling tangible/consumer products such as FMCG, retail, automotive, electronics, appliances, construction materials, consumer durables, or similar industries
  • Strong background in strategic marketing, brand management, digital marketing, and events/activations
  • Proven experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across online and offline channels
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market research, and brand positioning
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, agencies, and external vendors
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
