Job Description:
The Category Lead (Beauty) is responsible for the overall performance and growth of the Beauty business unit. This role leads brand managers and store operators to achieve strong commercial results across e-commerce platforms. Working closely with the Country Head, the Beauty Unit Director develops business strategies, improves operational processes, and builds strong partnerships with brands and e-commerce platforms to drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Commercial Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end performance of the Beauty business unit, including revenue growth and profitability.

  • Develop and execute business plans with clear KPIs supported by strong marketing, commercial, and operational strategies.

  • Manage financial performance, budgets, and profitability of the unit.

  • Analyze business results to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of brand managers and store operators.

  • Provide regular coaching, training, and performance feedback to support long-term team development.

  • Promote best practices and operational excellence across the organization.

Strategy & Operations

  • Contribute to commercial strategy development and overall business planning.

  • Review, improve, and streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.

  • Lead problem-solving efforts for operational or commercial issues involving internal teams and external partners.

Partnerships & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brands and e-commerce platforms.

  • Lead negotiations for annual agreements with brands and marketplace partners.

  • Prepare and present product and business proposals to current and prospective partners.

Market & Trend Analysis

  • Monitor industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive insights.

  • Identify new e-commerce opportunities and implement action plans to drive growth.

Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in e-commerce, commercial management, or category management.

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.

  • Proven experience building and scaling brands in e-commerce environments.

  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong relationship management skills with both internal teams and external partners.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of e-commerce trends, beauty industry trends, and consumer behavior.
