Role Overview

The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving end-to-end sales processes by combining technical expertise with commercial acumen. This role manages the full project lifecycle—from pre-sales activities such as bidding and quotations to after-sales support—while ensuring the delivery of tailored customer solutions. The position operates remotely but requires regular fieldwork and client site visits to support project execution and relationship management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
  • At least 5 years of combined technical and sales experience, preferably in generator sets or similar industrial products
  • Proven experience in end-to-end sales management, including pre-sales (bidding, costing, and quotations) and after-sales support
  • Experience working with distributors, dealers, and project-based clients
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment, power generation systems, or related technical solutions
  • Solid track record in achieving sales targets and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setup
  • Willingness to travel for fieldwork and conduct regular client and site visits
  • Willingness to travel abroad for quarterly business review (Singapore headquarters)
  • Preferably with active passport and driver's license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business tools

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle, including pre-sales (bidding, proposal preparation, and quotations), project execution, and after-sales support
  • Develop and deliver technical and commercial solutions aligned with customer requirements and project specifications
  • Support and manage distributor and dealer networks, providing both technical and sales guidance
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, and supply chain) to ensure accurate project planning, costing, and delivery
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in project execution
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle
  • Ensure timely submission of proposals and adherence to project timelines and deliverables
  • Monitor multiple ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and company standards
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes
  • Conduct regular field visits, site inspections, and client meetings to support project development and after-sales service
