About the job Manufacturing Engineer | Cable and Wire Harness Assembly
Manufacturing Engineer responsible for planning and coordinating production processes, developing tooling and cell layouts, leading root cause analysis on quality issues, and driving continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate process activities to ensure top-quality output across the work cell
- Prepare manufacturing documentation including routers, TSDs, and standard work instructions
- Design and develop tooling to support production requirements
- Develop and optimize cell layouts
- Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, and planning teams to safeguard product quality
- Investigate internal and external quality issues, leading cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement in KPIs and explore new process controls to boost quality
- Help train team members on process development and sustainment
- Maintain accurate documentation on the company wiki
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or Development Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in cable or wire harness manufacturing
- Background in Aerospace manufacturing is a plus
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
- Skilled in CAD and/or SolidWorks
- Trained in APQP tools (D/PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP) is an advantage
