Role: General Trade Retail Manager

Schedule: 8AM – 5PM

Key Responsibilities:

Channel Development

  • Assess channel and territory performance by leveraging data and market intelligence to uncover opportunities for growth
  • Design and roll out targeted strategies for key areas, including turnaround plans where needed
  • Develop tactical plans covering volume projections, budget builds, POSM requirements, IAP decks, sell-in materials, and sales toolkits
  • Establish contingency plans to maintain business operations during periods of market disruption
  • Work closely with commercial teams to strengthen product availability, in-store visibility, and shopper conversion across priority channels
  • Track execution progress, flag emerging risks, and fine-tune strategies to sustain performance
  • Lead review sessions after key initiatives to capture insights and apply learnings to future planning

Emerging Channels & Category Growth

  • Drive the growth of emerging trade channels by studying market movements and evolving shopper behavior
  • Establish the strategic role of new channels within the overall commercial framework
  • Partner with Category teams to bring growth initiatives and product launches to life through channel-relevant BTL activations
  • Ensure channel growth plans are in sync with brand direction, category goals, and commercial targets

Program Planning

  • Evaluate whether key initiatives are ready to scale and transition into long-term programs
  • Oversee the seamless handover of proven projects into standard business operations

Qualifications

  • Background in trade marketing, channel marketing, or a related discipline within FMCG or the food and beverage sector
  • Solid grasp of the general trade environment, with particular focus on small format retail
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing channel strategies and BTL programs
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to turn insights into clear, actionable strategies
  • Strong ability to manage stakeholders and work effectively across different functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-moving setting
