Overview:

We're looking for a Welding Process Engineer to lead process development, drive quality improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the production operations in Batangas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and continuously refine welding processes (primarily GTAW/TIG) to meet quality targets, reduce cycle time, and improve cost efficiency
  • Prepare and maintain welding procedures, work instructions, and all process-related documentation
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects and process deviations
  • Monitor and enforce welding quality standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Support qualification, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of welding equipment and systems
  • Analyze process performance data and generate reports on quality metrics and process trends
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams — especially during new product introductions
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards at all times

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, or Welding Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in Welding or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of GTAW (TIG Welding); exposure to brazing, laser welding, or electron beam welding is a strong advantage
  • Familiar with stainless steel materials, welding metallurgy, and joining technologies
  • Experienced in FMEA, process validation, and root cause analysis methodologies
  • PRC Licensed Engineer (ME or MetE) preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
