Overview:
We're looking for a Welding Process Engineer to lead process development, drive quality improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the production operations in Batangas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and continuously refine welding processes (primarily GTAW/TIG) to meet quality targets, reduce cycle time, and improve cost efficiency
- Prepare and maintain welding procedures, work instructions, and all process-related documentation
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects and process deviations
- Monitor and enforce welding quality standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements
- Support qualification, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of welding equipment and systems
- Analyze process performance data and generate reports on quality metrics and process trends
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams — especially during new product introductions
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards at all times
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, or Welding Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in Welding or Manufacturing Engineering
- Strong working knowledge of GTAW (TIG Welding); exposure to brazing, laser welding, or electron beam welding is a strong advantage
- Familiar with stainless steel materials, welding metallurgy, and joining technologies
- Experienced in FMEA, process validation, and root cause analysis methodologies
- PRC Licensed Engineer (ME or MetE) preferred but not required
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
