Leasing Manager (Retail | Mall | Commercial)

Role Overview

The Leasing Manager is responsible for driving occupancy, tenant mix optimization, and revenue growth across assigned mall or retail properties. This role leads leasing strategies, negotiates commercial terms, and builds strong relationships with tenants to ensure a balanced and competitive retail environment. The position also oversees leasing team performance and contributes to overall asset value enhancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of leasing experience within a retail, mall, or commercial environment
• At least 2 years of people management experience, with proven ability to lead and develop teams
• Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse tenant mix (e.g., fashion, F&B, entertainment, services, anchors)
• Strong network within the retail industry and established relationships with local and/or international brands
• Proven track record in lease negotiations, contract management, and deal structuring
• Strong analytical skills with ability to assess tenant performance, market trends, and space productivity
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute leasing strategies to achieve occupancy targets, maximize rental income, and enhance overall mall positioning
• Identify, source, and secure tenants aligned with the desired tenant mix, ensuring balance across categories such as fashion, food & beverage, lifestyle, entertainment, and services
• Lead lease negotiations including commercial terms, contracts, renewals, and amendments to optimize revenue and long-term value
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective tenants, brokers, and key industry partners
• Monitor tenant performance and market trends to recommend repositioning, re-tenanting, or expansion opportunities
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and property management teams to support tenant openings, promotions, and overall mall performance
• Oversee and mentor the leasing team, setting targets, tracking performance, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Prepare leasing reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management, providing insights on occupancy, pipeline, and revenue performance
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and lease documentation standards
