Budget Range: 80,000 - 120,000
Sr. Level Role: 180,000 - 220,000
Job Summary:
The Cost Accounting Manager will oversee the cost accounting function within a shared services environment, ensuring accurate cost analysis, reporting, and financial planning for FMCG operations. This role plays a vital part in budgeting, cost control, and strategic decision-making support.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage cost accounting operations across multiple entities in the shared services structure.

Monitor and analyze cost variances and profitability margins across products and production units.

Conduct inventory valuation, standard costing, and product cost analysis.

Implement cost control measures and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency.

Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure data integrity and timely reporting.

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual cost closing processes.

Prepare and analyze cost reports and financial forecasts for senior management.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).

Assist in budgeting and long-term financial planning activities.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cost analysts or accountants.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.

CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred.

At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.

Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership/managerial role.

Strong understanding of product costing, standard cost systems, and cost accounting principles.

Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment is an advantage.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
