Job Summary:

We are urgently hiring a Finance Trade Manager to oversee and manage international trade finance activities, with a strong focus on risk mitigation, documentation, and client relations. The ideal candidate will come from a banking, lending, or import/export background and will bring deep expertise in managing trade finance instruments and cross-border transactions. It will be mostly focused on 80% business development and 20% operational functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structure, process, and monitor trade finance transactions (e.g., Letters of Credit, Standby LCs, Bank Guarantees, Trust Receipts, etc.)
  • Serve as a key liaison between internal departments, banks, and international clients/suppliers for trade-related transactions.
  • Evaluate and recommend financing solutions to support import/export operations and working capital needs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of trade finance documentation.
  • Monitor credit exposure, transaction risks, and compliance with financial regulations (KYC, AML, BSP regulations, etc.)
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasts, and reports related to trade and lending portfolios.
  • Stay updated with global trade and banking regulations affecting cross-border business.
  • Attend international meetings or trade-related client visits, when required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in trade finance, lending, or commercial banking, ideally with exposure to import/export transactions.
  • Strong working knowledge of trade finance instruments, credit facilities, and international payment mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in trade documentation and compliance regulations.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on occasion to meet with clients or banking partners.
  • Strong network with local and international banks is a plus
  • Familiarity with UCP600, ISBP, and Incoterms
