Shift: Night Shift (9:00 PM 6:00 AM PH Time)
Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. This role involves leading a team of accountants and accounting specialists, implementing best practices in accounting, and supporting monthly close processes and annual audits. The position requires hands-on leadership, compliance oversight, and collaboration with other departments to drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management
- Supervise accounting operations and provide guidance on issue resolution and special cases
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture with a focus on continuous development
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulations
- Oversee accurate and timely entry of timecards and proper distribution of workload
- Mentor and train staff, including Accounting Associates and Specialists
- Review and update policies, procedures, and workflows regularly
- Support process improvements and departmental efficiency
- Align department goals with finance leadership and manage special projects
General Ledger and Month-End Close
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations
- Perform variance analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes
- Work closely with Accounts Payable for invoice coding and monthly accruals
- Consolidate and review monthly financial reports before submission
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Collaborate with senior management to provide insights on financial performance
- Perform other related duties as needed
Audit Support
- Manage audit deliverables and Prepared by Client (PBC) documentation
- Coordinate responses to auditor requests and external consultants
- Ensure timely submission of supporting documentation
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- 6-8 years of experience in accounting, with supervisory and team management experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
