Job Description
The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting product demand, managing inventory levels, and ensuring optimal stock availability across stores and warehouses. This role plays a key part in supporting supply chain efficiency by analyzing data trends, monitoring stock aging, and coordinating closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Purchasing teams—particularly within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track stock aging to reduce excess inventory and minimize waste

  • Analyze historical sales and inventory data to develop accurate demand forecasts

  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to account for promotions and demand-driving activities

  • Track and manage replenishment requirements for stores and remote warehouses

  • Conduct regular inventory reviews to ensure optimal stock levels and product availability

  • Evaluate inventory turnover rates and recommend improvements

  • Review forecast accuracy and refine demand models as needed

  • Identify discrepancies, stock aging issues, and inefficiencies to provide actionable insights

  • Prepare and present demand planning and inventory reports to stakeholders

  • Implement best practices in demand planning and inventory management

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

  • 1–2 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a related role

  • Strong background and understanding of the FMCG industry

  • Proficiency in demand forecasting tools, ERP systems, inventory management software, and advanced Excel

  • Solid understanding of inventory management principles, stock aging, and replenishment processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration

  • Ability to analyze data trends and make data-driven recommendations

  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
