Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Record to Report (RTR) Specialist to support end-to-end financial reporting and accounting processes on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial services across multiple regions, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and service level agreements within a shared services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Accounting & Reporting
- Perform end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) activities including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Controlling
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities in compliance with timelines and quality standards
- Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and analysis
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in accordance with IFRS and internal policies
2. Financial Operations & Processes
- Manage cash management activities and financial supply chain processes (e.g., intercompany, treasury-related transactions)
- Support VAT/GST accounting and compliance requirements
- Maintain and monitor financial transactions within SAP and related systems
- Utilize tools such as SAP Financial Closing Cockpit (if applicable)
3. Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and global operating guidelines
- Execute and document internal controls, including compliance with JSOX requirements
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and reports
- Ensure all processes meet regulatory and audit standards
4. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with regional business partners across Asia Pacific and the Americas
- Provide timely and accurate responses to finance-related queries and requests
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams
5. Process Improvement & Performance
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve efficiency
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements
- Ensure delivery of services in line with defined KPIs and SLAs
- Support reporting and analysis requirements from management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 6 years of work experience, with at least 3–4 years in finance or accounting roles
- Experience in shared services and multinational environments is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS preferred)
- Experience in month-end closing, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with SAP and financial systems; SAP Financial Closing Cockpit experience is a plus
- Understanding of indirect tax concepts (VAT, GST)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise
- Knowledge of internal controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., JSOX)
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus
