Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Chief Actuary to lead the organization's actuarial function and provide strategic direction across pricing, valuation, financial reporting, capital management, and risk analysis. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in driving business performance through sound actuarial practices, regulatory compliance, and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all actuarial functions, including pricing, valuation, reserving, financial projections, and actuarial reporting.
  • Ensure the adequacy of reserves and actuarial liabilities in compliance with applicable regulatory and accounting standards.
  • Develop and review pricing methodologies and actuarial assumptions to support sustainable business growth.
  • Provide actuarial advice and recommendations to executive management on business strategy, financial performance, and risk management.
  • Lead actuarial forecasting, experience studies, assumption setting, and model governance.
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, capital management, and long-term business projections.
  • Partner with Finance, Risk, Product, Underwriting, Claims, and other business units to support strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of actuarial reports for regulatory bodies, auditors, and senior management.
  • Support reinsurance analysis, portfolio management, and capital optimization initiatives.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and enhancement of actuarial models and reporting systems.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing actuarial team while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Associate or Fellow of a recognized actuarial organization is highly preferred.
  • At least 12 years of progressive actuarial experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong background in pricing, valuation, reserving, financial reporting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Solid knowledge of actuarial standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable accounting frameworks.
  • Experience using actuarial modeling tools and advanced analytical software.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to influence executive-level decision-making.
