Job Summary

The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing cost accounting functions, including product costing, variance analysis, and inventory management. This role ensures accurate cost reporting, supports pricing and profitability decisions, and drives cost efficiency initiatives within the organization, particularly in a food manufacturing or restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cost accounting processes, including product costing and cost allocation.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and provide actionable insights.
  • Monitor and analyze production costs, inventory movements, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and costing methods in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement cost control measures to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance teams to optimize cost structures.
  • Prepare cost reports, financial analyses, and recommendations for management decision-making.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to cost and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – required.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting within F&B, restaurant, or food manufacturing (FMCG) industry.
  • Strong expertise in costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
  • Experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
