The Assistant Manager for Site Logistics & Warehousing is responsible for end-to-end warehouse operations covering raw materials, packaging materials, and spare parts. The role ensures efficient inbound handling, storage, inventory control, and material availability in support of uninterrupted manufacturing operations, while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily warehousing operations across receiving, storage, and internal material movements.
  • Ensure optimal space utilization and efficient warehouse layout for both cold and dry storage environments.
  • Drive operational efficiency to support production requirements and service level targets.
Inventory & Materials Control
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock accuracy, and material availability to prevent production disruptions.
  • Track stock ageing and proactively manage slow-moving, aging, and near-expiry materials, ensuring timely disposition.
  • Enforce FIFO/FEFO and other inventory management principles aligned with product requirements.
Systems & Process Optimization
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of transactions within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse processes, data integrity, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline inbound logistics and inventory flows.
Facilities & Equipment Management
  • Coordinate with Engineering and external service providers to ensure reliability and compliance of warehouse facilities, including cold storage systems and material handling equipment.
  • Ensure all warehouse utilities operate within required standards to preserve product quality.
Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure strict adherence to GMP, food safety, sanitation, and internal quality standards in all warehousing activities.
  • Implement proper receiving, handling, and storage protocols for all materials.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel to deliver consistent operational performance.
  • Work closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering teams to align priorities and resolve issues.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food, or pharmaceutical environments is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of cold chain and dry storage operations is an advantage.
