Reinforcement Detailer (BIM)

Job Summary

The Reinforcement Detailer will produce accurate detail and shop drawings, key plans, and fabrication data for reinforced modular cages and related accessories. This role is key to ensuring fabrication and placement work aligns with customer contracts, industry standards, and established practices, using Tekla Structures and other BIM tools.

Key Responsibilities

3D Modeling & Drawing Production

• Develop accurate and detailed 3D reinforcement models using Tekla Structures
• Generate workshop drawings to support manufacturing
• Produce drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and fabrication data in line with project requirements

Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate detailing work with the technical team, project managers, and site teams to ensure constructability and accuracy
• Apply BIM standards to ensure full integration with wider project models and collaboration platforms
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize bar cutting, bending, and fabrication

Quality & Process Improvement

• Review and resolve technical queries during the detailing and construction phases
• Maintain version control and accurate documentation of all detailing outputs
• Support continuous improvement in detailing processes, including automation and digital integration

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or another Built Environment-related field
• At least 3 years of experience in rebar, reinforcement, or detailing work
• At least 2 years of experience using Tekla Structures
• Strong understanding and application of rebar detailing standards
• Experience modeling reinforcement solutions in 3D
• Experience working within a BIM environment
• Able to interpret technical design drawings and specifications
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Trimble Connect, and MS Office applications
• On-site experience is a plus
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
• Competent in rebar estimating software and MS Excel
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once
• Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate across design, manufacturing, and logistics
