Role Overview
The E&S Analyst will support the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations across investment processes. This role combines policy development, portfolio-level engagement, and internal training to drive practical sustainability outcomes. The analyst will help ensure investments meet high standards of environmental and social responsibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree holder.
- With at least 2 years of experience in developing and implementing Environmental and Social initiatives.
- Knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and practical experience with Environmental & Social Management Systems (ESMS).
- Familiarity with social safeguards, labor standards, and occupational health & safety practices; knowledge of Philippine regulations is a plus
- Hands-on experience implementing ESG or E&S programs, ideally in operational or investment context.
- Preferably with relevant certifications or training (e.g., SA8000, OHS, IFC PS courses)
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Sustainable Investing Development
- Support the development, implementation, and improvement of sustainability policies, incorporating environmental, social, climate, and gender considerations
- Collaborate with investment teams to set meaningful ESG goals and targets for portfolio companies
2. Sustainability Integration & Risk Management
- Partner with investment teams to implement E&S risk management strategies, develop KPIs, and track sustainability performance
- Engage with portfolio company ESG officers and leadership to operationalize sustainability objectives, including monitoring and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with IFC Performance Standards and support implementation of ESMS at the portfolio level
- Participate in ESG due diligence to assess environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities
3. Operational E&S & Social Safeguards Expertise
- Apply E&S principles in a practical manner, including monitoring, evaluation, and documentation
- Address social risk areas, including labor practices, occupational health and safety, and community well-being
- Leverage relevant training and certifications to strengthen portfolio-level social safeguards
4. Internal Culture & Training
- Foster a culture of sustainable investing through guidance, training, and resources
- Promote accountability for ESG objectives, ensuring all teams understand their role in achieving sustainability goals
