Purchasing Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Operations Specialist to support procurement and purchasing activities on a fixed-term basis. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of purchase requests, maintaining supplier coordination, and supporting operational continuity through accurate and timely procurement execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in accordance with company policies
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of purchase requests and requirements
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and documentation
- Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in procurement systems
- Support vendor onboarding and ensure required documentation is complete and compliant
- Resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delays, and supplier concerns
- Assist in invoice verification and coordinate with finance for payment processing
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Generate purchasing reports and support analysis of procurement activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations is an advantage
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
