Purchasing Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Operations Specialist to support procurement and purchasing activities on a fixed-term basis. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of purchase requests, maintaining supplier coordination, and supporting operational continuity through accurate and timely procurement execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in accordance with company policies
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of purchase requests and requirements
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and documentation
  • Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in procurement systems
  • Support vendor onboarding and ensure required documentation is complete and compliant
  • Resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delays, and supplier concerns
  • Assist in invoice verification and coordinate with finance for payment processing
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Generate purchasing reports and support analysis of procurement activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations is an advantage
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
