Management Department Head
Job Purpose:
The position is primarily responsible for overseeing the collection of loan receivables and managing the remedial process
for legal action. The position is also responsible for providing supervision in the disposal of the banks real and other
properties acquired (ROPA).
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Collection and Remedial Management
1. Oversees the collection, remedial policies and processes of the bank.
2. Manages past due and non-performing ratio.
3. Monitors loan accounts that are subject to re-appraisal.
4. Reviews the proposals for write-off, re-structure and re-schedule of collectibles based on BSP
guidelines.
5. Liaises with Legal team for the implementation of foreclosure and filing of court cases.
6. Recommends delinquent accounts to collection agency.
B. ROPA Management
1. Directs appropriate disposal of the real and other properties acquired (ROPA) in compliance
with regulatory requirements.
2. Manages the warehouse of foreclosed properties.
3. Evaluates the steps to identify and control risk in managing asset.
C. General Administration
1. Develops and improves methods of collection, re-structure and re-schedule in terms of
quality and efficiency.
2. Maximizes profitability by recovering the maximum amount of delinquent debt. Performs and
executes collection and recovery.
3. Facilitates accreditation and monitoring of collection agencies.
4. Reports the loan accounts to credit bureaus.
5. Keeps abreast of market trends to maximize profits and identify investment opportunities.
D. Management Leadership
1. Recommends plans, programs, budget and performance targets of the department.
2. Plans, directs and coordinates all activities in the department to reach maximum level of
employee productivity throughout the workforce.
3. Provides upfront leadership in supervising all direct and indirect reports and planning for
their career advancement and aspirations.
4. Supervises and evaluates the performance of all direct report/s.
5. Approves/schedules all vacation leaves of all direct report/s.
E. Others
1. Participates actively during staff meetings, training programs and other professional
development work.
2. Makes recommendation on matters pertinent to business operations and other related
activities.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned.
