About the job CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Our client is an owner of one of the country's largest energy infrastructures. The Chief Executive of this company will lead an asset base comprising of critical marine, terminals, pipelines and distillation unit, spanning through the major demand center of the country. Reporting to the Board, Chief Executive will play a pivotal role in determining the long-term strategy, business plans, capital allocation, governance, assurance, organizational and cultural design of the company. As a JV of country's largest oil companies, the company will be a major growth enabler within the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide world-class HSSE leadership in a challenging energy landscape.
  • Manage company's operational and financial performance through a Board of directors, culminating into execution of a long-term growth plan.
  • Carry out periodic advocacy with regulatory and industry stakeholders to ensure adoption and enhancement of asset utilization; ensure all approvals are in place for operations.
  • Derive and execute long term growth, investment and business planning including revenue and capital expenditure budgets, stewardship and submission of statutory reporting.
  • Work closely with the pipeline operator to ensure cost, security, efficiency and performance of overall and sub-systems in a challenging socio-economic environment.
  • Implement state of art monitoring, loss detection and safety equipment to improve quality of service levels.
  • Represent the company in several industry forums and associations including overseas exhibitions and conferences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 16 years of education with a University degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance.
  • Minimum of 25 years of total experience with 8-10 years of senior level positions within energy, chemical, power and other process industries.
  • Well versed with country's supply dynamics, pricing and regulatory environment.
  • Experience pertaining to Board and shareholder matters will be key.
  • Demonstrable exposure in developing and executing strategic, operational excellence and asset integrity plans including contractor management.
  • Strong commercial acumen including negotiations, structuring and risk management.
  • Highest level of personal integrity combined with outstanding teamwork.
  • Financial acumen and the ability to manage complex budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
