Geo-modeler

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Geo-modeler with a proven track record in static modeling and uncertainty assessment of complex geological systems. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in the field, with more than 10 years dedicated to working in Pakistan, particularly with OGDCL (Oil & Gas Development Company Limited).

Key Responsibilities:

• Static Modeling: Lead the creation and refinement of static models for complex geological systems, ensuring accurate representation of subsurface structures.
• Uncertainty Assessment & Quantification: Perform advanced uncertainty assessment and quantification to evaluate risks and improve decision-making in exploration and development projects.
• Reservoir Expertise: Specialize in both carbonate and clastic reservoirs, applying deep knowledge to model and analyze different types of geological formations.
• Petroleum Geosciences: Apply a comprehensive understanding of petroleum geosciences, including seismic interpretation, petrophysical analysis, and reservoir engineering principles, to create integrated models that inform exploration and production strategies.
• Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard geomodelling software to conduct modeling, interpretation, and analysis, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including geophysicists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers, to integrate models into broader geological studies. Mentor junior staff and contribute to the professional development of the team.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Over 15 years of experience in geomodelling, with a significant focus on the geological characteristics of Pakistan and extensive work with OGDCL.
• Strong experience in static modeling of complex systems and proficiency in uncertainty assessment and quantification.
• Education:
• PhD in Geosciences, Geology, or a closely related discipline.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth experience with carbonate and clastic reservoirs.
• Should have experience and Good understanding of seismic interpretation, petrophysical analysis, and reservoir engineering principles.
• Advanced knowledge of geomodelling software and tools.
• Other Requirements:
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication abilities, capable of conveying complex geological concepts to various stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative environments.
