COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our Client, a Karachi based newly established FinTech company, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive compliance strategies to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Act as the focal person on behalf of the company for State Bank of Pakistan, facilitating all queries and audits from SBP
  • Ensure the partners and systems meet the regulatory compliance requirements
  • Ensure the reports submission and reconciliations at a pre-agreed frequency are as per the regulators requirements
  • Report to Senior Management promptly on any material incidents of noncompliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and update compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices
  • Implement proactive and efficient compliance monitoring systems tailored to the scale and pace of a startup operation
  • Develop risk management strategies to safeguard the companys interest. Prepare the team for audits, ensuring readiness to demonstrate compliance effectiveness in our dynamic startup setting

Education

  • Minimum 16 years of education preferably masters from a renowned HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder preferably in Accounting, Finance, CA/ ACCA.

Experience

  • Minimum 6-8 years of professional experience, preferably at a fintech start up or a large national / multinational organization with at least 3-6 years of demonstrated related functional experience.

Requirements

  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, evolving and fast paced start up environment
  • Proven experience in compliance roles within the financial services or fintech industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and frameworks
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving compliance objectives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing compliance challenges
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs

Age

  • The candidate should be preferably not more than 40 years of age as of the last date of submission of application
