COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our Client, a Karachi based company, seeks to appoint experienced and seasoned professionals for the following positions:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support on matters as required by the management and various functions of the Company, including:
- Corporate governance issues and corporate compliance matters. Representations before regulatory authorities and various other forums
- Contract drafting and negotiations such as sale and purchase agreements, NDAs, SLAs, bank guarantees, etc.
- Disputes (arbitration and litigation)
- Financing agreements
- Responsible for structuring, drafting and reviewing reports and other legal documents
- Provide legal advice, propose solutions on a wide variety of matters (commercial and civil law, labor law, PPRA, company laws, intellectual property laws etc.)
- Serve as a liaison with business units, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations relevant to the industry
- Handle/monitor corporate litigation, review pleadings before filing in the courts, maintain proper record/status of court cases and follow up with external lawyers in addition to negotiating professional fee with them
- Review and draft all relevant contracts, agreements, letters, proposals etc. to ensure compliance with the prevailing laws and highlight issues that may have legal and statutory implications for the Company
Education
- The candidate must have a Law Degree from HEC recognized Law School/University. Solicitor, Bar-at-law, L.L.M. would be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 6-8 years of overall experience, preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 3-6 years of related functional experience in a similar role at a senior equivalent position or one position below.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently having excellent interpretation and drafting skills
- Excellent presentation, problem solving, decision making and analytical skills

Age
- The candidate should be preferably not more than 40 years of age as of the last date of submission of application.
