Our Client, an impact organization specializing in Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) is seeking candidates for the position of HR and L&D Manager.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified daycare staff, including teachers, assistants, and administrative personnel.
- Conduct thorough interviews and background checks.
- Manage the onboarding process, ensuring new employees are properly integrated into the team and understand company policies and procedures.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Mediate employee conflicts and resolve issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Training Needs Assessment:
- Identify training needs for all staff based on performance reviews, feedback, and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge in areas such as child development, classroom management, safety, and first aid.
Training Development and Delivery:
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective training programs using a variety of methods, including workshops, online modules, and on-the-job training.
- Source and manage external training providers as needed.
- Create and maintain training documentation.
Professional Development:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education and development.
- Encourage and support staff participation in professional development opportunities.
- Track and record employee training and certifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field
- Proven experience in HR and L&D, preferably in a childcare or education setting.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education would be a plus
