Education
- Minimum graduation. Masters and/or relevant professional certifications are preferred.
Work Experience
- 5+ years of branch operations experience
Languages
- English (Written and spoken) would be preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Management of the entire branch; strong knowledge of bank products, systems and processes
Job Responsibilities
- Complete management of branch operations. Ensuring Compliance to regulatory requirements of SBP.
- As a manager, ensuring proper leadership and supervision of branch operations staff. And report to BM.
- Responsible for the business training of management personnel, ensuring guidance for business operators, and supervising business personnel to operate in compliance;
- Conduct irregular inspections of the branch's business according to regulations to ensure that processed business is compliant;
- Execute the review of departmental business to ensure that business submitted to the compliance department and SBP meets internal and regulatory requirements;
- Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of departmental statements to SBP.
- Manage customer SS card with the CSO and check and verify the seal cards against the accounts for matching at the specified frequency according to regulations.
- To assist the Branch Manager and collaborate with business manager in creation/ management/ updation of branch operations manuals / policies/ procedures.
- Responsible for overseeing the up-dation of branch's customer records and valid documents are obtained on expiry of documents submitted by customers.
- Organize business continuity drills twice a year in accordance with the branch's requirements.
- Meet SBP requirements regarding banking business and report relevant matters to SBP (compliance of regulatory requirements & internal policies / SOPs).
- To oversee the branch cash vault operations. Making sure that the branch cash contents of the cash vault are balanced on a weekly basis.
- Responsible to report any suspicious activity/ transaction relating to customer, immediately when noticed.
- Ensuring that the Banks as well as regulatory KYC/AML requirements are complied with. Guide and supervise relevant personnel to conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Simplified Due Diligence (SDD), or Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) in a timely manner as required.
- To make sure that all documents are required as per the regulatory requirements/Banks policies are obtained from branch customers from time to time.
- To ensure the CDD/SDD/EDD as the case may be, has been carried out prior to client on boarding.
- To ensure that information of STR on customer account is not tipped off to the customer.
- To make sure that transactional and name screening alert in AML system / email queries are timely responded to.
- Any other official assignments (over and above) the aforementioned responsibilities as assigned by Branch Manager.
