Job Purpose
The Managing Director (MD) will be responsible for leading the overall operations, strategy, and growth of the manufacturing business. The role ensures financial performance, operational excellence, compliance, and long-term sustainability while aligning the company's objectives with the Boards vision.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute the company's short- and long-term business strategy.

Lead organizational growth, expansion, and profitability.

Provide regular updates and performance reports to the Board of Directors.

Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
Operations & Manufacturing

Oversee all manufacturing operations including production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.

Ensure optimal plant efficiency, productivity, and cost control.

Implement lean manufacturing, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Financial Management

Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost optimization.

Approve budgets, capital expenditures, and major investments.

Monitor financial performance, working capital, and cash flow.

Ensure strong financial governance and risk management.
Sales & Business Development
-
Support sales and marketing strategies to grow market share.

Build relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.

Drive customer satisfaction and long-term contracts.
People & Culture

Lead, mentor, and develop senior leadership and plant management teams.

Build a high-performance, accountable, and safety-focused culture.

Ensure effective succession planning and talent development.
Governance & Compliance

Ensure adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.

Manage legal, compliance, and corporate governance matters.

Represent the company with regulators, investors, and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements
-
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

15–20+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CEO, MD, COO, or Plant Director).

Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and cost structures.

Proven track record of driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

Experience managing large teams, multi-site operations, or complex production environments.

Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
Candidate must be up to 50 years of age as of the application date.
