Role Mandate:

A leading energy company with a strong national footprint is looking for a dynamic commercial leader to re-energize the organization, modernize the brand and sales approach, while shaping an ambitious future strategy for the commercial function.

This critical role includes full leadership of the commercial function, strengthening and developing high-performing teams, providing strategic direction for the companys growth and profitability and driving the organization to new levels of success in a demanding and competitive environment.

This position is based at our Head Office in Karachi and reports directly to the CEO.

Operational & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Design customer touchpoints as Islands of Excellence, contributing to an exceptional overall customer journey
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a strategic product roadmap that maintains existing revenue streams while identifying and developing new ones
  • Rebuild, upskill, and re-ignite the sales force, fostering passion, discipline, ownership, and drive
  • Revamp marketing & brand positioning to compete as Pakistans most modern, trusted, and customer-centric energy company
  • Manage and maintain effective performance across all business units by setting clear KPIs
  • Ensure the intelligent expansion of sales and distribution channels in both new and existing markets, focusing on transparent identification of opportunities in B2B and B2C roles
  • Ensure efficient delivery of commercial operations, including business development, leasing, and sponsorship activities to identify new commercial opportunities that enhance customer and stakeholder retention

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven leadership in marketing, branding, sales, and distribution ideally within energy, or other large-scale consumer-facing industries with preferably 20 years of professional experience in a large national or multinational organization
  • At least 7 years of related functional experience in a similar role at a senior equivalent position or one position below, ideally within energy sector, FMCG or relevant industry
  • Minimum 16 years of education, preferably a Master's degree from a renowned and HEC-recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder institution, in any or a combination of the disciplines of Engineering, Marketing, and Business Administration
  • Extensive commercial experience with proven financial leadership skills, coupled with a deep understanding of marketing, direct sales, channel management, and contract negotiation. Knowledge of regulatory and legal matters is an added advantage
  • The candidate should preferably be 45 years of age on the last date for submission of application
