COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Our client, a Karachi-based, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulated Electronic Money Institution (EMI), seeks to appoint an experienced professional for the following role:

Job Role

Assist the Head of Finance in overseeing all finance activities of the company and work closely with the Group Finance stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head of Finance to ensure the Finance Function of the Company is in line with Company Polices and Framework
  • Preparation and presentation of Quarterly and Annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, SOE Act, 2023 requirements, and SBP EMI Regulations and circulars
  • Collaborate with management to develop and manage the annual budget. Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to achieve financial goals
  • Review the monthly financial performance and conduct analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for revenue enhancements and cost optimization
  • Ensuring the compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and is responsible for completion of reviews related activities in line with implementation of the Financial Control and Governance Framework
  • Work closely with other departments such as Product, Risk Management, Operations, Compliance, and IT to support cross-functional initiatives and projects and provide financial guidance and recommendations
  • Assist the external auditors and Internal auditors and ensure completion and rectification of internal and external audit comments within target dates and in line with Company Policies and Framework
  • Timely submission of tax reporting as per respective regulatory requirements
  • Reviewing the overall accounts through analytical review process & sense check, wherever discrepancy have been noticed the same needs to be investigated for
  • Review product programs and functional designed document from finance perspective for accounting and reporting aspects
  • Ensure that all Management reporting requirements are met with timely delivery to all internal and external stakeholders (if applicable). This includes budgets, forecasts, and actuals
  • Maintain direct Finance internal stakeholder relationships Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk
  • Ensure completion of activities related to systems implementation / other project initiatives such as documentation of business requirements and user acceptance testing from finance function perspective

Education

  • Minimum 16 years of education, preferably, Masters from a renowned and HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder institution, preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Preferably qualified Chartered Accountant/ACCA

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of post-articleship & professional experience, preferably in a large national/multinational organization preferably in banking, fintech, or financial institutions
  • Prior experience in banking, fintech, or financial institutions

Key Requirements

  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting standards
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Expertise in financial modelling, cost analysis, and transaction pricing
  • Strong knowledge of SBP and related regulations for Fintech
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

Age

The candidate should preferably be not more than 40 years of age as of last date of submission of application.
