About the Client
Our client is an established Kuwait-based FMCG company specializing in premium food products, with a strong presence across retail and distribution channels.
About the Role
The Trade Marketing Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company's products, displays, promotions, and point-of-sale materials are consistently and effectively presented across assigned retail outlets.
This is a field-based role that combines retail execution, merchandising compliance, sales performance monitoring, and market intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular field visits across assigned retail outlets.
- Monitor product availability, positioning, planograms, stock levels, and display standards.
- Ensure promotional activities, pricing, and communication materials are implemented accurately and on time.
- Inspect point-of-sale materials and display stands to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
- Identify execution gaps and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support new product launches, listings, displays, and promotional visibility.
- Monitor outlet- and category-level sales performance.
- Investigate factors affecting performance, including availability, assortment, pricing, and display quality.
- Track competitor pricing, promotions, launches, shelf space, and merchandising activities.
- Prepare field visit reports supported by photographs, findings, and recommendations.
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Warehouse, and Merchandising teams.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in trade marketing, merchandising, or retail sales execution within the FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of planograms, merchandising standards, promotions, and POSM management.
- Ability to interpret sales and market data and identify causes behind performance trends.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Familiarity with ERP or merchandising monitoring applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Good command of English; Arabic would be an advantage.
- Valid Kuwait driving license and willingness to travel daily between retail outlets.
