About the Client

Our client is a leading organization in Kuwait seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead its human resources function.

About the Role

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, probation, attendance, leave, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, resignations, terminations and end-of-service benefits.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with Kuwait Labor Law and relevant regulations and oversee employee procedures involving government authorities.
  • Oversee payroll processing and reviews, ensuring the accuracy of allowances, deductions, leave calculations, overtime and final settlements.
  • Identify payroll errors and review payroll procedures, including where daily processing is handled by another team.
  • Manage employee grievances, internal investigations, disciplinary matters, disputes and misconduct cases, balancing business interests with employee rights.
  • Lead recruitment from identifying staffing needs through to joining, including candidate assessment and selection.
  • Develop workforce plans in coordination with department heads.
  • Prepare, review and implement HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, job descriptions, forms and practical HR processes.
  • Manage performance appraisal systems, KPIs and objectives, and implement performance improvement plans where required.
  • Prepare management reports covering headcount, turnover, recruitment, absenteeism, payroll, employee costs, vacancies and overtime.
  • Lead the HR team, allocate responsibilities and monitor performance.
  • Work closely with department managers and maintain accurate employee records through HRIS or ERP systems.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Law or a related discipline. A specific HR degree is not essential if supported by strong HR management experience.
  • At least 10 years of HR experience, including a minimum of 3–5 years in an HR management or leadership role.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Kuwait Labor Law, relevant regulations and government procedures relating to employees.
  • Proven experience managing the full employee lifecycle, payroll reviews, employee relations, recruitment and workforce planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR policies and translate them into practical procedures.
  • Experience designing or managing performance appraisal systems and addressing underperformance.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze HR data and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Proven experience leading an HR team and working effectively with department heads.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with proficiency in written and spoken Arabic.
  • Practical experience using HRIS or ERP systems for employee records, payroll, leave, attendance and reporting.
  • A high level of confidentiality, integrity and professional judgment.
  • CIPD, SHRM or HRCI certification is an advantage.
  • Exposure to HR digital transformation, succession planning, ISO standards or quality management is desirable.
