Shift: Night shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00pm to 7:30 am; Rotating weekends and holidays

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to deliver cutting-edge respiratory care in both outpatient settings and the Emergency Department (ED). This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans, ensuring responsive and high-quality care. The ideal candidate will work seamlessly with Physicians, Staff, and Directors in a supportive and cooperative manner.
Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments and procedures.
Assess patients' respiratory conditions and create individualized care plans.
Conduct diagnostic tests including arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
Adjust ventilator settings for patients on mechanical ventilation.
Educate patients and their families about respiratory care techniques and equipment usage.
Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
Provide advanced respiratory support and life-saving interventions in emergency situations.
Document patient treatments, responses, and progress accurately in medical records.
Follow safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Experience: Six months of Staff Therapist experience is preferred but not required.
Education and Training: Graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program at the Registry level.
License, Certification & Registration:
o MA Respiratory Therapist license (MARTL)
o National Board for Respiratory Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT)
o CPR Certification
Other Requirements:
o Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Strong problem-solving abilities and effective team-building skills.
o Willingness to engage in ongoing education as both a learner and an instructor.
o Flexibility to adjust shift hours and days to meet scheduling needs.
