Applicative SQL Server DBA

About the Role:

We are looking for an Applicative SQL Server DBA with proven experience in system design and a strong understanding of database systems to join our Data Science and Business Insights Department. This team plays a critical role in financial reporting and business decision-making processes, including compliance with complex financial requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex financial reporting solutions (e.g., complex queries).
• Troubleshoot data issues, validate result sets, and deliver high-quality ad-hoc reports (SSRS) and analyses within tight deadlines.
• Design, develop, and maintain data loading processes from external heterogeneous sources using PowerShell and SQL scripts.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 3 years as a SQL Server DBA.
• Skills:
  • Ability to design and implement business processes into efficient, functional code.
  • Strong understanding of data and schema standards and concepts.
  • Proficient in database design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Skilled in Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Expertise in operational automation using scripts.
• Work Style:
  • Able to multi-task and work effectively under deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • High standards for design, documentation, and testing.

Advantages (Preferred Qualifications)

• Familiarity with financial terms and processes.
• Experience with AWS.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
• Knowledge of Snowflake.
