About the job Development Engineer III - Wet Coating Equipment Design
Company Overview:

manufacturing. We focus on transitioning lab processes to large-scale production to
improve performance and reduce costs.
Basic Job Functions:
Designs process equipment for thin film wet coating applications. Manages the scale-up of
coating processes from lab to manufacturing, introducing equipment upgrades and
developing gravure roll coating processes for enhanced performance.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) with 10 years of
relevant experience
- Masters Degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) with 8 years of relevant experience:
- Ph.D. in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) with 5 years of relevant
experience
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Hands-on expertise in equipment upgrades and troubleshooting
- Experience with fluid mechanics and wet coating equipment
- Familiarity with film characterization techniques and measurements
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis and use of statistical software (JMP preferred)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Essential Responsibilities:
- Design and qualify wet coating equipment and configurations
- Develop gravure roll coating and drying processes
- Collaborate with vendors for formulation scale-up
- Lead multi-factor experiments and provide clear direction to technicians
- Effectively communicate test results to management and R&D teams
